Sustainability Leadership

Awakening the Dreamer: Changing the Dream

Awakening the Dreamer: Changing the Dream is a half-day symposium designed to awaken and inspire people to take action in pursuit of a fair, peaceful and sustainable future. The symposium can also be presented in a one or two day format with an added leadership development workshop component and/or strategic alignment and development workshop component, each tailored for the particular organization and their interests.

The aim of the Symposium is to grapple and come to grips with the assumptions that underlie the way we see the world and our place in it, and with what each of us can do - both individually and cooperatively - to move the world in this new direction.

The symposium design explores four questions:

  • Where Are We? An examination of the state of environmental, social and personal well-being
  • How did We Get Here? Tracing the root causes that lead to our current imbalance
  • What's Possible for the Future? Discovering new ways of relating with each other, with the Earth and looking at the emerging Movement for change
  • Where Do We Go from Here? Considering the stand we want to be in the world and our personal and collective impact
